FAQ

1) How does this online learning work? 

Every day, recorded audio of 1-2 verses of the Slokas will be posted along with the text, explanation, interesting facts and pictures. You can download and listen to the audio and read the sloka along with the audio at any convenient time of the day. Dedicating about 10-15 minutes every day is key to consistent learning. 

2) By whom are these classes conducted by? 

The classes are conducted by Smt. Vanisri Ragupati, Software Architect in IT field with three children. She resides in Chennai and has passion for Hindu scriptures and Slokas. She has been teaching slokas online for a few years now.

3) Are the classes chargeable? 

Online teaching is done as a Seva. No fees or other charges. 

4) Are the classes continuous? 

Yes. However, every few days there will be a “Revision” break. Apart from this, regular quizzes will be conducted in the form of crosswords, jumbled words or Q&As based on what was learnt. Attempting the Quizzes is completely optional. 

5) Which medium of instruction (language) is used for the Sloka learning? 

The text of the Slokas will be shared in Sanskrit, Tamil and English. The language used in the audio for teaching and explaining the meaning of the Slokas is Tamil.

6) What is the expectation from me when I join the classes?

The goal of this class is to learn to read Slokas fluently without errors by seeing the text. By-hearting is completely optional. 

7) Are live classes conducted for learning? 

No, as of now, online teaching via WhatsApp and Telegram are the only available modes to learn. 

8) Can children join the online learning? 

Yes, many children are learning through this mode as well. 

9) Can I get access to previous Slokas that have been taught?

  1. Good service bhagini, I am learning Sanskrit thru sanskrita bharathi.i am attending online classes, due to functions I missed some of the classes, while searching in utube for parichaya portions, I supposed to c vaniji's videos. Clearly explained , TQ ji Vaazhga Valamudan 👍
